Staff Counselor

Megan received her bachelor's degree from Trinity International University in the Chicago area and worked for several years in the social work field before completing her Master's in Counseling from DePaul University. She began her clinical counseling work in Evanston, Illinois, in 2004 and since that time has gained a wide variety of experience working with teens, adults, and families. Megan joined the New City team in 2012 and is a Licensed Professional Counselor in Virginia.

Megan is passionate about helping people heal, grow, and find deeper meaning and freedom in their lives. She is committed to helping clients move toward greater understanding of their stories, partnering with and empowering her clients on their journey toward greater wholeness and healing. Megan enjoys working with people who are experiencing a variety of issues, including depression, anxiety, past abuse, trauma, relationship difficulties, and overcoming fear and shame.

Megan and her husband moved to Charlottesville in 2006 to plant and pastor a local church. They have two teenagers who delight them and keep them busy. When Megan is not working, you might find her on a horse, going for a hike, traveling, or enjoying coffee with a friend.
