"For when we are harassed by poverty, saddened by bereavement, ill and in pain…let good people visit us—people who can not only rejoice with those that rejoice, but weep with those that weep, and who know how to give useful advice and how to win us to express our own feelings in conversation." —Augustine of Hippo

NEW CITY PROCESS GROUPS

Though individual, marriage, and family therapy can be very effective and impactful contexts for healing, group therapy can offer something uniquely important. From the womb to the present, our brains and bodies have an ongoing need to connect, attach, understand, and regulate with other brains and bodies. When a group works toward the goal of present truth-telling with deep love, compassion, and understanding, what emerges over time is a new ability to receive the truth about oneself and the possibility to live with freedom and love in the rest of one's life. These groups generally consist of 4–6 participants who have done some previous individual or couples counseling. Generally this counseling has been with one of the group leaders.

NOTE: We are unable to offer individual services to those under 18 at this time.

Our Fees

Our goal at New City Counseling is to provide excellent counseling services at an affordable rate. All questions concerning fees and payments should be initially discussed at intake, and then subsequently with your counselor. Payment is due in the form of cash, check, or credit card at the time of your session.
